Our Mission: Working to protect our world's aquatic environments and the clean water supply on which they depend.

Our People: Project Baseline is made possible by the dedication of a global cast of volunteers dedicated to preserving the world’s most precious water resources.

The Process: Project Baseline helps channel the passion of volunteers, the capacity of dedicated professionals and the energy of concerned citizens by documenting historic and present-day conditions within sensitive aquatic environments.
Our mission will be accomplished in the following stages:
1) Identify and mobilize locally organized groups of devoted aquatic enthusiasts to document historic and present-day conditions within sensitive aquatic environments.
2) Organize and present this information on the free, familiar, easy-to-use, and highly interactive Google Earth platform.
3) Leverage the collected information, Google Earth and the Internet to motivate the public, resource managers, and decision makers to take the necessary actions to reduce or reverse environmental decline.

The Goal: Enable conservation by developing awareness and expanding knowledge while describing and cataloging historic and present-day conditions.
